Impact on Adolescents

Educating the youth for a healthier, brighter future.

The youth are the future of any society, and at Kalyet Afya Foundation, we believe in empowering them with the knowledge and skills they need to lead healthy, fulfilling lives. The SEMA Project is one of our flagship initiatives, focused on educating adolescents about sexual health, menstrual hygiene, and preventing harmful practices like Female Genital Mutilation (FGM).

Through interactive workshops and outreach programs, we provide young people with the information they need to make informed decisions about their health. The program aims to reduce early pregnancies, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and gender-based violence by fostering a culture of knowledge and empowerment.

By partnering with schools, community leaders, and health professionals, the SEMA Project not only raises awareness but also helps reduce school dropout rates, particularly among girls. When adolescents are educated about their bodies and rights, they are more likely to stay in school, build better futures, and contribute positively to their communities.
