We empower communities through healthcare, reproductive rights, environmental sustainability, and economic empowerment. Our core areas reflect our commitment to improving lives and fostering lasting change.

Health and wellness

Kalyet Afya Foundation (KAF) is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of rural communities in Kenya by; • Delivering healthcare and family planning services through mobile clinics. • Strengthening existing public health facilities through the training of Community Health Promoters and facilitating family planning referrals. • Ensuring access to sexual and reproductive health services alongside HIV prevention and response initiatives.

Adolescents and Youth SRHR advocacy

We empower young people to make informed decisions about their SRHR and to access the services they need. We also advocate for the end of harmful practices such as FGM and early marriage, helping to reduce school dropout rates and promote healthier futures for girls.

Economic Empowernment

KAF works to create stronger economic opportunities for young people and communities, helping them become more self-sufficient through the following initiatives: • Vocational Training like tailoring to young people, helping them find jobs or start their own businesses. • Business and Financial Training to enable participants manage money and run businesses. • Self-Help Groups enabling members to work together, support each other, and improve their economic situation.

Climate Change Action

We strive to mitigate the effects of climate change in rural communities through the following initiatives: •Providing education on the impact of climate change and effective mitigation strategies. •Empowering youth to establish tree nurseries by supplying seeds, potting materials, and watering equipment. •Distributing both exotic and indigenous tree and fruit seedlings to churches, schools, and households. •Facilitating tree planting in ecologically significant areas such as dams and springs.
